<a id="TRAIL" TRAIL FROM CADILLAC RANCH TO THE SAN JUAN RIVER
Walk out the back, left corner of Cadillac Ranch RV Park, turn left and walk for about a mile to the San Juan River. This trail can also extend up to 10 miles to Sand Island. No Motorized Vehicles
BLUFF FORT
A short walk across the street from the Cadillac Ranch RV Park in Bluff, Utah. Come hear the stories of the “Hole in the Rock” Pioneers who came to settle in Bluff in the late 1800’s. Their harrowing experience is truly inspirational.
CEMETERY HILL
Scenic cemetery with incredible views of the San Juan River valley. It is also the home of an ancient ruin called the Bluff Great House from the Puebloan II and III time periods.
VALLEY OF THE GODS
Less than 20 miles from Cadillac Ranch RV park, take hwy 191 west to hwy 163, turn right onto Valley of the Gods road. Often called the “Mini Monument Valley”. Roads are gravel, with sharp turns and several washes.
NATURAL BRIDGES
Home to three large natural bridges. The bridges are named “Kachina,” “Owachomo” and “Sipapu” in honor of the ancestral Puebloans who once made this place their home
MONUMENT VALLEY
Navajo tribal lands that encompass large stone buttes. Many of the old time westerns with John Wayne, directed by John Ford were filmed here.
San Juan River Boat Launch/Sand Island
River raft down the San Juan river starting at the boat launch at Sand Island. 3 miles west of Bluff. Permits are required. Guided floats are available from several outfitters in Bluff.
Sand Island Petroglyphs
This is a very easy, short walk to see these petroglyphs. Just 3 miles west of Bluff at Sand Island. Turn left off of hwy 191 to go towards Sand Island boat launch. Road to the Petroglyphs is to the right before you get to the boat launch.
EASY/SHORT HIKES
These are great for those more limited in mobility but still want to see the amazing views and historical sites in Southern Utah.
LONGER HIKES
If you are wanting to access more remote locations, these are some great options for hikes that take you to stunning vistas, ancient ruins that you can walk in and around, and walls of petroglyphs. Please obey all signs and take photos, not artifacts. It is illegal to disturb or take any ancient artifact.

ANCIENT RUINS
They are everywhere in this area that has been inhabited since 650 AD.
BEARS EARS
Visit the Bears Ears Education Center prior to heading out on this adventure. The visitor’s center is located at 567 W Main St, Bluff, UT
